The curious thing about this is if you look closely everything pertaining to ancient Egypt is BC while everything pertaining to the Holy Roman Empire is AD. In 46 BC Julius Caesar changed the calendar from the 13 month system to his new adapted 12 month version, using his family names as some of the months, Augustus (august) and Julius or Julie (July).
